About The Tiki Dog Food
Tiki is a gourmet dog food brand that’s high in protein, highly palatable, and uses human-grade ingredients in all its recipes. These recipes were created to mimic the natural diet of dogs, as dogs derive all their energy and immune system support from proteins and fats.
Who Makes Tiki Dog Food in 2023?
Tiki Dog, made by Tiki Pets, prepares cat and dog food varieties that are unique and feature real, natural ingredients. They prioritize high-quality proteins and superfoods with no fillers or artificial ingredients.
They always start with the number one ingredient, protein, in Tiki Pets’ foods. The protein included in their dog food comes from high-quality animal food sources like Alaskan salmon, ahi tuna, whole prawns, chicken, lamb, and eggs.
The superfoods are mega-nutritious and include flaxseed, pumpkin, carrots, spinach, and kale. The list of superfoods gives your little dogs a boost of minerals, vitamins, and fatty acids.
Five-Factor Analysis of Tiki Dog Food
Here’s your favorite part again. I will pick out the best and worst of Tiki dog food based on five prime aspects: Recipes, ingredients, nutrition, recall history, and price. Let’s ride the Tiki Dog wave and learn all there is to know about this fantastic brand.
1. Recipes | ★★★★
As I mentioned, I have picked out three exciting recipes from different dog food lines from Tiki.
Tiki Dog Born Carnivore Chicken, Peas, and Lentils Dog Food
Chicken is the first ingredient, so they don’t use fillers. They provide the protein listed on the bag, which is super lovely, and the same goes for all the flavors. I also have duck and lamb, where duck and lamb are the first ingredients. It’s great to know right off the bat that you’re getting an excellent premium quality product without fillers or unnecessary ingredients.
Peas and lentils are a healthy way to enhance dog food without resorting to cheaper options containing wood by-products.
The breakdown on the side of the bag is specific to your dog’s size and activity level. Depending on their weight, they may need as little as 1/4 cup up to four and a half cups. It’s unique to see dog food break down not only by weight but also by their activity level.
This added benefit is really appreciated. The bags weigh three and a half pounds, so if you have a large breed dog, you’ll probably go through it quickly. But for smaller breeds, it’s perfect. Even if you’re only feeding 1/4 cup a day, it will last quite a while.
Tiki Dog Aloha Petites Chicken & Salmon Recipe
This dog food is Made without potatoes, corn, wheat, or rice. This is from Tiki Dog Aloha Petite; their packaging is the cutest. They come up with adorable names for all their foods.
This is Chicken & Salmon. It may not sound appealing to me, but it’s incredible for dogs. They also offer a variety of other flavors, and since my dog loves variety, it’s perfect.
With a variety of textures and ingredient combinations, your finicky small pup won’t be able to resist. Each convenient pouch is hand-packed and includes nutrient-dense organ meat and delicious superfoods like pumpkin, flaxseed, and kale. Plus, these complete and balanced meals meet the energy requirements of small breeds.
Their pouches are so nice because they open quickly and they are mess-free. You can put the food on their plate and throw the pocket away. The consistency is just like real food. It contains shredded chicken, some veggies, and juices that my dog loves. He really enjoys this food.
Tiki Dog Taste of China – Peking Duck with Duck and Broth
This food is from their line of restaurant-inspired foods. In fact, they have a new menu of international cuisine.
First, I would like to point out that when you’re shopping, you may also encounter this food as “Taste of Asia” with a purple label. The name has been changed, but this is the same great food featured inside the “Taste of the World” variety pack. You need to look at this to make the distinction between the two.
This does have a little bit of moisture that goes into the food, which is nice, especially during the summer months or if your dog needs a little bit of extra moisture. Maybe they’re not drinking as much water as they should be. Having wet food is a nice way to give them that extra hydration.
I like that you can see the food in the bowl when you pour it out. You can see broth, shredded meat, and vegetables altogether.
2. Ingredients | ★★★★★
Tiki dog food has many different recipes, and they’re all primarily meat-based. You can see lamb, chicken, beef, and fish in the mix. The best thing about these meats is that they are processed in their natural state even after cooking.
Canola oil, fish oil, sunflower oil, etc., are all included. The purpose of adding oils to dog food is that it is not only a source of energy but it is also packed with essential vitamins and minerals.
Superfoods add that extra layer of nutritional value and make any regular dog food a force to be reckoned with. Tiki includes superfoods like spinach, kale, chia seeds, carrots, and many more.
To qualify for this distinction, no animal by-products, artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives exist. Many pet food manufacturers go one step further and include human-grade food in their description of pet food quality. It’s that good! Right, okay, moving on.
3. Nutritional Analysis | ★★★★
Here is a nutritional analysis of the Tiki dog food brand as a whole.
The protein-to-fat ratio is very well balanced here. It ensures that your dog gains and maintains muscles but never get to an unhealthy weight.
Tiki Dog contains optimal moisture levels because moisture in food promotes and maintains a healthy digestive tract, urinary and kidney tract, and healthy liver. Drink up, doggy boy!
4. Price | ★★★
It’s hard to gauge how expensive this brand really is, but let’s just say you pay 5 dollars for 12 Oz of food. Now that’s A LOT. But hey, we as humans tend to spend a lot of money on our own food but very little on our pet food.
This is food that actually has the taste and texture of what your dogs should be eating. It shouldn’t be a problem for our pets to have a good and palatable diet like us; after all, aren’t they family too?
5. Recall History | ★★★★★
There have been zero recalls from this pet food brand as of May 2023.

Before You Go
On a personal level, I enjoyed serving this to my girl. Tiki Dog is smart to appeal to the likes of the owners and handlers and not simply focus on the nutritional content. Pet owners spend a lot of time investing in products for their fur babies, you know?
This food gives me an aroma. This food gives me clear broth. This food is giving me flashes of vivid red bell pepper color. This food is giving me real shredded, moist white chicken. And this food is impressively pleasing to the eye. This food is jewel-worthy, in my opinion. I’m giving this meal my personal thumbs up. I will enjoy the international flavor journey. I hope you like it.
Well, that’s it for today, pet parents.
